We are located at 1221 Van Street SE, Suite 140, Washington DC 20003, steps from Nationals Stadium.  Metered parking and surface lot parking is available. However, we recommend ride-sharing or Metro transit (Green Line Navy Yard-Ballpark Station) on game days.

PREPPING FOR CLASS

Classes can be booked online or through the BOOMBOX mobile app up to seven days in advance.  Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. We recommend boxing or wrestling shoes, but any cross trainer will do.  If you have gloves and wraps bring ‘em.  If you don’t, no worries.  We offer wraps for sale at the front desk for $12 a pair (yours to keep) and fresh glove rentals for $4 a pair.  Water is available for $3.50 a bottle, or you can fill up at our free filling station. Please note BOOMBOX is a cashless studio.

AFTER CLASS

High-five your Coach on the way out and drop your rental gloves and towels in one of the bins just outside of the fitness studio. BOOMBOX is all about COMMUNITY! Hang out, snap a pic to memorialize that killer workout, and fellowship with the other FIGHTERS in class, while listening to the soothing sounds of hip-hop.

 
 

CANCELLATION POLICY

We have a 12-hour cancellation policy.  Reservations may be cancelled, without penalty, 12 hours in advance of the scheduled class, online or through the BOOMBOX mobile app.  If you cancel less than 12 hours before your scheduled class (or don’t show up for your reserved class), you will forfeit that class credit, or be charged a $20 “no show fee” if you are an unlimited monthly membership holder.

WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE

Bags will be released 5 minutes prior to class time.  If you are running late, please call us at (202) 599-2799.  We can hold your bag for up to 5 minutes after the start of class.  If you do not call the studio, your bag could be released to someone on the waitlist.  For your safety, we do not let anyone into the bag room 5 minutes after class has started.

WAITLIST

If a spot opens up, we’ll send you an email confirming your space in class.  If you are waitlisted and your plans change, please remove yourself from the list, online or through the BOOMBOX mobile app, so the spot can go to someone else.   

BEATBOX vs BOOMBOX

BEATBOX and BOOMBOX are both great workouts and include the same strength exercises.  With BEATBOX, the punch combinations and movements are more closely cued and synchronized with the beat of the music, which makes it easier for beginners to follow along, and creates an almost tribal experience, as everyone is moving, punching and breathing in unison.  With BOOMBOX, you run the punch combinations at your own pace.  Because we’re not confined by the music 8-count, we’re able to incorporate additional footwork and movements into the BOOMBOX class.
